Please note that weighted blankets can take effect at different speeds for each person. First positive effects can occur after just a few days. However, it can also take several weeks for the body to adjust. Give yourself some time; after all, you have 100 days!

A weighted blanket should weigh approximately 10% of your body weight. If you fall exactly between two weight classes, choose the heavier version. All of our blankets serve the same purpose, but each model has some special features that we want to use to meet the different needs of our customers.

Our Standard (formerly Gravity) and Premium (formerly Balance) models feature a very practical function: Matching covers made of warming or cooling fabric are available for both models – depending on your preference and the season. The covers can be easily removed and changed. We recommend using covers from our range, as weighted blankets have a cover system to prevent slipping.

The standard therapy blanket is weighted down by fine glass beads sewn into equally sized squares inside the blanket. The pressure on the body is created by the beads gathering in a corner. The cover is attached to the inner cover via 12 loops, ensuring nothing slips and the inner cover stays securely in place. The movement of the beads within the squares makes the standard therapy blanket particularly snug.

The Premium Therapy Blanket is weighted down by small stainless steel beads, which are glued and fixed to the inside of the blanket at even intervals. The adhesive is water-based, odorless and harmless. The cover is attached to the innershell via four zippers. This makes removing and putting on the cover particularly easy, which is especially advantageous for older people. The Balance Blanket is somewhat more stable and firmer, making this model suitable for people who move around a lot at night.

Our medical therapy blanket is filled with microglass beads, which are sewn into equally sized squares. The blanket does not have a removable cover and is therefore more suitable as an overblanket for a normal duvet. In addition, it is breathable due to the cotton fabric and has a cooling effect. The medical blanket does not have a cover system with loops or zippers, as covering this blanket is not necessary.

It has been proven that a weighted blanket has shown a positive effect on the following diseases, disorders and symptoms:

Therapy blankets are generally safe and harmless. Toddlers under 5 years old or 20 kg should always use the therapy blanket under supervision. If children use the blanket alone, they should always be able to remove it without difficulty.

We advise against using a therapeutic blanket if you suffer from respiratory disorders such as asthma or sleep apnea, or have problems with your heart and blood pressure. Diabetic patients should also speak to their doctor before using the blanket. You should always be able to remove the blanket yourself.

Patients with type 2 diabetes in an advanced stage should not use a weighted blanket, as their circulatory system is weaker. The weighted blanket should absolutely not be used on patients with so-called diabetic foot.

People with kidney problems (especially dialysis patients) should talk to their doctor about whether they can use a weighted blanket. In the case of osteoarthritis and herniated discs, a weighted blanket can worsen symptoms, so consultation with a doctor is also advisable here.

One should always be able to remove the blanket oneself.

Our Premium therapy blanket model (formerly Balance) has stainless steel beads glued inside. Contrary to some speculation, we see no danger in the use of stainless steel; there are also no scientific concerns or evidence that it could have a negative effect. Read more about it in our blog post .

To ensure even distribution of the beads, we use odorless, non-toxic, water-based adhesive. The adhesive does not come into contact with the skin, and even in case of possible skin contact, there is no danger. The safety data sheet for the adhesive used can be viewed here from the manufacturer.

Since therapeutic blankets are precisely adjusted to your body weight, the blanket should only be used by you or by a person who weighs the same as you.

You can test our blanket for 100 nights after receiving it. If you don't notice any effect or are not satisfied, you can return or exchange the blanket. Please note our return policy.

The blanket may be washed during the trial period. Please handle the weighted blanket with care. We reserve the right not to accept soiled and damaged blankets.

We focus on sustainability and fair working conditions in the production of our therapy blankets. The blankets are manufactured in EU countries. We only use the highest quality fabrics to ensure you receive a high-quality product that will accompany you for many years and give you good sleep and rest.

Remember that your blanket is a unique and long-term investment. In the long run, you'll be doing yourself and your body a favor if you can avoid sleeping pills and prevent certain illnesses from developing in the first place.

Normal blankets are usually filled with down or feathers. Therapy blankets are filled with micro glass beads or metal beads to increase their weight. The glass beads/metal beads are very fine and you can't feel them. The therapy blankets are hypoallergenic and can also be used by allergy sufferers. In contrast to down blankets, the fabric of the therapy blanket is breathable, which keeps the temperature under the blanket pleasantly warm.

Our medical therapy blankets are made of 100% cotton and are therefore very breathable. The fabric is cooling and can simply be placed on top of a normal duvet or used as is in summer.

Our Premium (formerly Balance) and Standard (formerly Gravity) therapy blankets feature a cotton cover that is 100% cotton on both sides - ideal for warmer days and anyone who sweats easily.

Generally no, but we recommend trying. We have heard of a few individual cases where the health insurance company covered a small part of the costs.

You can return the therapy blankets within 100 days without giving a reason. However, the cancellation must be announced via the returns center . Simply returning the goods (without an explicit statement) within 100 days is not sufficient. The return shipping costs are to be borne by the customer.

Opened fragrance sprays cannot be returned or exchanged.

Personalized products are excluded from return and exchange.

1. Shipping costs do not include customs fees. You will receive a separate invoice from TNT for the customs charges. These vary depending on the order value and are not covered by us.

2. The exchange is not free of charge. The return shipping costs are to be borne by the customer. When sending the new blanket, shipping costs and customs duties will be added again. We therefore recommend that you seek advice from our experts before ordering a weighted blanket.

Replacement covers

The therapy blanket does not need to be covered with bedding. The Standard (formerly Gravity) or Premium (formerly Balance) therapy blanket already includes a removable cover. Due to the weight, a separate cover without fastenings on the blanket may slip.

Yes, except for our Medical Therapy Blanket. This blanket is mainly used as an overblanket or in the summer.

The Premium (formerly Balance) and Standard (formerly Gravity) therapy blanket always comes with a 4-season or cotton cover. With the Standard or Premium set, you can choose two covers from the given options. Alternatively, the Standard cover can also be purchased separately.

To ensure that the thin inner cover is as full and snug as possible in the cover, it is intentionally made slightly larger than the cover.

Each square of a weighted blanket (Medical and Standard Therapy Blanket models) is filled with the same amount of microglass beads. The filling will always collect in the lower corners and not spread evenly across the entire square. This is not a manufacturing defect. The filling presses on the body at specific points and thus exerts the weight.

It is very likely that a loop has come undone that attaches the duvet cover to the cover. This can be fixed very quickly. Please open the cover and check that the duvet cover is securely attached.

Our children's weighted blankets can usually be used by most children for 2-3 years.
