All our Blankets serve the same purpose, but each model has some special features with which we want to meet the different needs of our customers.

Our models Loop (formerly Standard/Gravity) and Zipper (formerly Premium/Balance) feature a very practical function: For both models, there are suitable covers made of warming or cooling fabric - depending on preference and season. The covers can be easily removed and changed. It is recommended to use the covers from our range, as weighted blankets have a cover system to prevent slipping.

The loop Therapy blanket is weighted with fine glass beads inside the blanket, which are sewn into equally sized squares. The pressure on the body arises here from the gathering of the beads in one corner. The cover is attached to the insert via 12 loops, so nothing slips and the insert sits firmly in the cover. Due to the movement of the beads within the squares, the Standard Therapy blanket is particularly cuddly. 

The zipper Therapy blanket is weighted with small stainless steel beads, which are glued and fixed inside the blanket at regular intervals. The glue is water-based, odorless, and harmless. The cover is attached to the insert via four zippers. This makes removing and putting on the cover particularly easy, which is especially beneficial for older people. The Balance blanket is somewhat sturdier and firmer, making this model suitable for people who turn and move a lot at night.

Our Medical Therapy blanket is filled with micro glass beads, which are sewn into equally sized squares. The blanket has no removable cover and is therefore more suitable as a top blanket over a normal bed blanket. In addition, it is breathable due to the cotton fabric and has a cooling effect. The Medical blanket has no cover system with loops or zippers, as covering this blanket is not necessary.

It has been proven that a weighted blanket has shown a positive effect on the following diseases, disorders, and symptoms:

Therapy blankets are generally safe and harmless. Toddlers under 5 years old or 20 kg should always use the therapy blanket under supervision. If children use the blanket alone, they should always be able to remove the blanket easily.

We advise against using a therapyblanket if you suffer from respiratory disorders such as asthma or sleep apnea or have heart and blood pressure problems. Diabetes patients should also consult their doctor before using the blanket. You should always be able to remove the blanket yourself.

Patients with advanced stage type 2 diabetes should not use a weighted blanket because circulation is weaker. The weighted blanket should definitely not be used by patients with so-called diabetic foot.

People with kidney problems (especially dialysis patients) should consult their doctor to determine if a weighted blanket may be used. In cases of osteoarthritis and herniated discs, a weighted blanket can worsen symptoms, so consulting a doctor is also advisable here. 

You should always be able to remove the blanket yourself.

Yes. However, for the safety of your child, we recommend that you first speak with a doctor.

Our Therapy Blankets Premium model (formerly Balance) has glued-in stainless steel beads inside. Contrary to some speculations, we see no danger in using stainless steel; there are also no scientific concerns or evidence that it could have a negative impact. Read more about this in our blog post.

To distribute the beads evenly, we use odorless, non-toxic water-based adhesive. The adhesive does not come into contact with the skin, but even in the case of possible skin contact, there is no danger. You can view the safety data sheet for the adhesive used here from the manufacturer.

Since therapy blankets are precisely adjusted to your body weight, the blanket should only be used by you or by a person who weighs as much as you do.

You can test our blanket for 100 nights after receipt. If you do not feel any effect or are not satisfied, you can return or exchange the blanket. Please observe our return policy for this.

During the trial period, the blanket may be washed. Please handle the weighted blanket with care. We reserve the right not to accept dirty or damaged blankets back.

We focus on sustainability and fair working conditions in the manufacturing of our Therapy Blankets. The Blankets are made in EU countries. We use only fabrics of the highest quality so that you receive a premium product that will accompany you for many years and provide you with good sleep and rest.

Normal blankets are mostly filled with down or feathers. The therapy blankets are filled with micro glass beads or metal beads to increase their weight. The glass beads/metal beads are very fine and cannot be felt. The therapy blankets are hypoallergenic and can also be used by allergy sufferers. Unlike down blankets, the fabric of the therapy blanket is breathable, which keeps the temperature under the blanket always pleasantly warm.

Our medical therapy blankets are made of 100% cotton and are therefore very breathable. The fabric is cooling and can simply be placed on the regular duvet or used like this in summer.

Our premium (formerly Balance) and standard (formerly Gravity) therapy blankets have a cotton cover, which is made of 100% cotton on both sides - ideal for warmer days and for those who sweat quickly.

Usually no, but we recommend trying. We have heard of a few individual cases where the health insurance covered a small part of the costs.

You can return the Therapy Blankets within 30 days without giving reasons. However, the cancellation must be announced via the Returns Center. Simply sending back the goods (without explicit declaration) within 30 days is not sufficient. Return shipping costs must be borne by the customer. 

Opened fragrance sprays cannot be returned or exchanged.

Personalized products are excluded from returns and exchanges.

We are pleased about the strong interest in our weighted blankets from our customers in Switzerland. Since we do not want you to have a bad experience with your purchase, we are happy to provide you with the most important information:

1. Shipping costs do not cover customs fees. You will receive a separate invoice from TNT for the customs fees. These vary depending on the order value and are not covered by us.

2. Exchanges are not free. The return shipping costs must be borne by the customer. When sending the new blanket, shipping costs and customs fees will be added again. Therefore, we recommend that you consult our experts before ordering a weighted blanket.

3. In case of cancellation, the return shipping costs must be borne by the customer.

4. We do not charge German VAT.

Replacement covers

The therapy blanket does not need to be covered with bed linen. The loops (previously Standard/Gravity) or zipper (previously Premium/Balance) therapy blanket already contains a removable cover. Due to the weight, a separate cover without fasteners on the blanket can cause slipping.

Yes, except for our Medical Therapy Blanket. This blanket is mainly used as a top cover or in summer.

The zipper (formerly Premium/Balance) and loop (formerly Standard/Gravity) therapy blanket always comes with a 4-season or cotton cover. With the Standard or Premium set, you can choose two covers from the given options. Alternatively, the standard insert can also be purchased separately.

So that the thin inner cover is as filled and tight in the cover as possible, it is intentionally made slightly larger than the cover.

Each square of a weighted blanket (model Medical and Loops - previously Standard/Gravity Therapy Blanket) is filled with the same amount of micro glass beads. The filling will always collect in the lower corners and will not distribute throughout the entire square. This is not a design flaw. The filling applies pressure pointwise on the body and thus exerts the weight.

It is very likely because a loop that attaches the inner cover to the outer cover has come undone. This can be resolved very quickly. Please open the cover and check if the inner cover is well secured.

Our children's weighted blankets can generally be used by most children for 2-3 years.
