Weighted blanket, therapy blanket, miracle blanket, gravity blanket – nowadays there are numerous names for heavy bed blankets. A few years ago, many people could not relate to these terms. Without patting ourselves too much on the back, we can proudly say that TherapieDecken.de has contributed significantly to the awareness of weighted blankets in the German market. 

Authenticity

At the beginning, when the founder and child therapist behind TherapieDecken.de sewed a weighted blanket for an autistic child, it was not yet foreseeable what dimensions this small project would take. But it quickly became clear that there was a great need for weighted blankets for people with disabilities, autism, and various illnesses. However, the market did not provide what was needed. Thus, the idea to produce therapy blankets ourselves was born. 

More than just a niche product

Convinced of the effect, weighted blankets should no longer be used only in the medical field. We quickly realized that all people can benefit from the effect of weighted blankets. The Medical Therapy Blanket was originally the weighted blanket that made a medical product available to everyone thanks to TherapieDecken.de. TherapieDecken.de was the first manufacturer of weighted blankets in Europe. Therapy blankets come without medication and complicated instructions. The principle is simple and understandable for everyone. With our specially developed weight recommendation and the 28-day trial offer, anyone can quickly familiarize themselves with the concept and try out whether the weighted blanket offers added value - following the motto "everything can, nothing must." 

The Therapiedecken Original

With the name “Therapiedecken” we distinguish ourselves from other providers because we stand for high-quality, heavy blankets produced fairly and by hand in Europe. A good and fair interaction among each other is at the center of our work. Our employees come from all age groups and bring their unique character traits. From the beginning, we have relied on in-house production, the use of exclusively high-quality materials, and consideration for our environment. We grow with our customers, are open to criticism, and constantly try to optimize our products. 

Social responsibility

Large as well as smaller companies should engage in their region based on their resources, capacities, and competencies by involving themselves with solution-oriented ideas in social problems and thus contribute positively to the improvement of our society. As a growing company, our responsibility also grows. For this reason, it is our concern to source our fabrics and materials from Europe and to counteract the effects of climate change with short transport routes. The entire production of our products takes place in Europe – from ecologically grown cotton in Spain to the use of green energy and strict waste separation during production in Poland. In addition, returned blankets are checked, sorted, and cleaned by us and donated to various organizations in Germany. This way, no resources are wasted unnecessarily and the blankets are given a new life.

Changing and limited cover designs

To find the right therapy blanket for every customer, we already offer various models, sizes, and weight classes. So that everyone can truly benefit from our therapy blankets and find the right blanket for themselves, we are always looking for new design ideas to offer changing and limited designs for our customers. Whether children or adults, young or old – with over 200 different cover designs, there is something for everyone.
